A downloadable game
"SPECCY" Programmed in ZX Spectrum BASIC
Speccy, Is the first game I have created using The Spectrum from Retro Games Ltd.
I decided to keep it simple so no UDGs have been used in the creation of this platform game, it kind of adds a sense of charm to the nostalgia of the ZX Spectrum as it has been programmed in BASIC, so, it is sluggish, I have added an option to select an easier play, it is slightly faster, but not much. The idea of the game is to guide "Speccy" through the levels collect the coins to buy the colours of the Spectrums rainbow logo avoiding obstacles and baddies as you explore.
The download will work on The Spectrum, and other ZX Spectrum emulators that work with TAP files.

Nothing to do with your programming (though I got here from me rekindling my Spectrum enthusiasm too).
I'm loving your 'ALex' handle as I go by 'ALan' for (I think) similar reasons - but I thought I was the only one.

WOW!! Thank you TJ for reviewing my game it's very much appreciated. I did an experiment yesterday with 2 different Android emulators and the speed adjustment settings worked well on the game, so happy days! May the Speccy live on. 😆
